Mohammad Azharuddin has said that Sachin Tendulkar should consider an open-chest stance to cope with the kind of quick incoming deliveries which have frequently undone him in recent times.
Azharuddin said a chest-on stance would give Tendulkar a little extra time to cover the swing, helping him on the bouncier tracks of South Africa where India would play their next Test series. “To each his own, but I believe Tendulkar can opt for a chest-on stance which will enable him to play pace bowlers easily. With age, reflexes get slower, but you can get by if you have the sort of technique that Tendulkar has,” Azharuddin said today.
