India, the defending Asia Cup champions, will take on arch-rival Pakistan on 19 September in Dubai, just a day after they play their first match against minnows Hong Kong on 18 September.

Indian is placed in Group A along with Pakistan and Hong Kong. Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the next stage.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face each other in the tournament opener on 15 September. The final of the Asia Cup 2018 will be played on 28 September.

Asia Cup 2018 will be played at two venues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) – Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

India have been the most successful team in the Asia Cup. The Men-in-Blue have won the tournament six times while Sri Lanka have won the prestigious trophy on five occasions.
