A confident Indian team will take on arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday in their third Super Four clash in Asia Cup 2018. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

On Sunday, both India and Pakistan will look to consolidate their place in the final by winning the match.

India beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the group game three days ago. But if history is any indication, the Men in Blue would not take their traditional rivals lightly.

After hard-fought win against minnows Hong Kong in their tournament opener, India got their act together in the much-awaited group game against Pakistan to make short work of Sarfraz Ahmed’s team.

Chasing a small target, India were hardly tested as a half-century from skipper Rohit Sharma ensured that the team romped home with as many as 21 overs to spare.

Even without captain Virat Kohli, the Indian batting lived up to the billing. They scored freely on surfaces not really perfect for stroke-play.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will look up to their seasoned campaigner Shoaib Malik for inspiration. All-rounder Malik made 43 against India and played a crucial knock against a spirited Afghanistan on Friday.

Opener Fakhar Zaman, who made match-winning century against India in the Champions Trophy final last year, flopped in the first game at Asia Cup.

He will definitely will look to make amends, as will batsmen Babar Azam, Sarfraz and Imam-ul-Haq.

The form of strike bowler Mohammad Aamir is Pakistan’s another cause for concern. Aamir has not been getting wickets for some time.

The left-arm pacer failed to deliver against India in the group game, and was not in the playing XI against Afghanistan. Hasan Ali and Usman Khan will also need to step up their game.
