The IPL 2026 may be over for Punjab Kings, but the noise around Arshdeep Singh has hardly faded. After a controversy-hit season on and off the field, the India pacer has now sparked fresh buzz by dramatically cleaning up his Instagram account.
The India pacer deleted nearly 200 posts and reels from his account, leaving behind just 44 uploads, most of them advertisements, brand collaborations, family moments and select career highlights.
Among the missing posts is his widely circulated reel with Virat Kohli from India’s Champions Trophy 2025 celebrations, along with several behind-the-scenes and vlog-style videos that had gained traction during the IPL season.
The sudden social media reset has fuelled speculation online, with fans debating whether the 27-year-old is attempting a personal rebrand, distancing himself from recent controversies, or simply taking a step back after an emotionally draining season.

Despite rumours claiming Arshdeep removed all traces of Punjab Kings from his account, the fast bowler still has cricket-related posts visible, including a PBKS team picture captioned: “Sabar. Shukar. Punjab.”
On the field, Arshdeep endured a mixed IPL 2026 campaign. Although he finished as Punjab Kings’ leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets in 14 matches, his performances lacked consistency as PBKS narrowly missed out on a playoff spot.
Punjab Kings ended the season in fifth place after a damaging six-match losing streak derailed their campaign. While they managed to snap the run in their final game, the franchise ultimately missed qualification by just one point behind Rajasthan Royals.
Off the field, Arshdeep found himself at the centre of multiple controversies during the tournament.
The left-arm seamer faced criticism after an alleged racial remark aimed at Tilak Varma surfaced online ahead of PBKS’ clash against Mumbai Indians, sparking backlash from fans and former cricketers on social media.
Another controversy emerged from one of Arshdeep’s vlogs, where viewers claimed a background clip appeared to show Yuzvendra Chahal using an e-cigarette. Since then, the pacer has noticeably reduced his casual vlog uploads and behind-the-scenes content.
Arshdeep, however, has not publicly addressed the Instagram purge or the speculation surrounding his online activity.
