Living the athlete life, 14-year-old cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be missing his Class 10 board exams as he prepares for the IPL 2026 season. His IPL coach, Manish Ojha, confirmed that Suryavanshi is set to play for the Rajasthan Royals and is attending their pre-season training camp in Nagpur until February 21, 2026.

Suryavanshi, who hails from Tajpur, Bihar, is enrolled at Modesty School in Tajpur and was scheduled to appear for the board exams from February 17 to March 11.

Speaking on his absence, NK Sinha, principal of Podar International School, said:

“He is absent today. He has not come to the examination centre. We have marked him absent according to the policy of CBSE… If a student is absent, we have to mark him absent… We were expecting him to come and give the examination, but there are many other obligations. There could be a cricket match or a practice… I think he will definitely take the next exam.”
