Manish Malhotra to Masaba Gupta: Fashion industry condole Sridevi’s demise

Bollywood actor and Padma Shri awardee Sridevi, who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, passed away at 54.

The actress had gone to attend a family function in Dubai, where she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Even in her 50s, the actress was graceful as ever and had set us fashion goals. While the Bollywood celebrities send their condolences through social media, the fashion industry, too, shared their prayers and condolences.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee put out black posts on his Instagram handle, with just Sridevi (1963-2018) written up. The posts caption read, “We are extremely saddened by the sudden demise of Sridevi. We extend our deepest condolences to her family at their hour of bereavement. May her soul rest in peace.”

 

Manish Malhotra, the ace designer, posted a recent picture of himself with Sridevi and her daughter, Khushi Kapoor, and captioned it saying he’d never be able to get over this loss. He wrote, “This was our last picture together and just 4 days ago … I will never able to get over this loss”

 

Masaba Gupta wrote a heartfelt note of having childhood memories with the actress. She wrote, “Can’t quite understand or digest any of this news this morning. Remember so much of Sridevi from my childhood & loved how she reinvented herself with English Vinglish. That she was an unmatched superstar, is an undeniable fact but I cannot stop thinking of her young daughters & family. Today & every day say a little Prayer for them. #RIP”

Neeta Lulla posted an old picture of the actress. She wrote, “Heartbroken and speechless. A beautiful person inside out, @sridevi.kapoor will miss you. You were a friend, mentor, and inspiration. Your memories will always have a special place in my heart. #RIPSridevi #FarewellSridevi”
