LaYuva, in collaboration with Bharosa Foundation, had on October 28, 2018, organised LaYuvathon at Leisure Valley Park, Gurugram, a marathon for a social cause with an aim to encourage people to inculcate a healthy lifestyle and follow a fitness routine. The event had been organised to promote the spirit of well-being and witnessed more than 2000 participants from various fields, including educational institutions, corporate organisations, and public service. Every runner who joined the event donated one warm clothing item for the underprivileged which will be distributed to the needy people on the streets of Gurugram by Team LaYuva with Bharosa Foundation.

LaYuvaThon comprised of a series of runs ranging from 1km, 3 km, 5km, 10 km, and 21km. The 1km race was flagged off by Suraj Pal Amu, Spokesperson, BJP Haryana. The 3km race was flagged off by Tim Yang, Co-founder, LaYuva, while the 5km race was flagged off by Rao Narbir Singh, State Minister for Public Works, Forest and Civil Aviation. The 10km race was flagged off by Umesh Aggarwal, BJP MLA from Gurgaon along with Anil Puri, CMD APS Group Of Companies.

Last, but not the least, the 21km race was flagged off by Hemant Bahukandi, Retired Police Officer and Chairman Bharosa Foundation. The winners of these runs across categories got prize money worth Rs 1.5 lakh which was distributed in the 5km, 10km, and 21 km categories to both the male and female participants. The winners also received gifts sponsored by Decathalon and Layuva.com.

Rahul Bahukhandi, CEO and Founder Layuva said, “We are working towards educating students. I want to raise sportsmen and women and not just players who play for 1or 2 years. We have adopted children to give them proper upbringing and guidance and to ensure good education is accessible to each one of them. In the coming years, we are planning football and hockey matches as well.”
