Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 60 minutes

Ingredients:

soymilk

Fat-free milk                1 litre

Phool makhanas          3 cups

Cardamom                    1 ((crushed)

Almonds                         10 (soaked, peeled and chopped)

Raisins                             20 (washed)

Saffron                             5-6 strands

Sugar                               3 tbsp

Method:

Roast phool makhanas on low flame in a non-stick pan without ghee for 10 minutes. Keep stirring. Turn off flame and let them cool at room temperature.

Coarsely grind roasted makhanas in a food processor.

Put milk on fire in a deep pan having a thick bottom.

Add makhanas, saffron strands, and cardamom. Give a boil on high flame and then let it cook on low flame for 45 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally.

Add sugar and soaked almonds.

Cook for another 15 minutes on low flame stirring it occasionally.

Turn off gas, add raisins and give a good stir.

Let it cool at room temperature.

Refrigerate it.

Serve chilled.
