Children’s Day is here again! In India, Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November, which is also the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru who was fondly called Chacha Nehru by children.

It’s their day, and children have all the right to demand some more pampering. It also gives you an additional reason to cook something special for them that will bring smile to their faces.

We have compiled a list of delicious recipes for your little ones. The recipes have been shared by Chef Sujeet Singh, Chef Ashish Srivastava, Chef from The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, Junkyard café and Kaama. Here you go.

CornflakesMalai Chini Toast

 

 

Ingredients

Bread slices                  2 no

Malai (cream)               4 tbsp

Sugar-grain                   2 tbsp

Banana                         1 no

Cornflakes                   2 tbsp

Method

1.Toast the bread slices in a toaster

2.Sieve the cream from the milk in the refrigerator

3.Smooth the cream using spoon

4.Have a thin layer of cream on bread slice and arrange banana slices on top

5. Sprinkle corn flakes on top followed by grain sugar

6. Serve with juice  for breakfast to your kids

Dora Pan Cake

 

 

Ingredients

Wheat Flour      200gm

Refined flour   50gm

Baking Powder  1 tsp

Salt          2 gm

Honey    20ml

Milk   100ml

Vanilla Extract    1 tsp

Butter   50gm

Nutella chocolate  100gm

Method

1.Take wheat flour, Refind flour, baking powder, salt in a bowl
and mix well.
2. Add in milk, honey, vanilla and mix well.
3. Heat butter in a nonstick pan.
4. Pour small ladleful of batter and cook till golden on each
side.
5. Flip over and cook. Remove and cool it down.
6. Spread Nutella chocolate on the pancakes, sandwich with the
other one.
8. Serve warm.

Oreo Cheesecake Waffle

 

Oreo cheesecake Waffle

Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
8 tbsp. butter, melted
20 oreo cookies, crushed
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. powdered sugar
8 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
Whipped cream for topping

Method

1. Preheat waffle iron. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt until well mixed. Add in eggs, milk and melted butter and stir until combined. Fold in crushed Oreos.

2. Grease waffle iron (if waffle iron requires it). Pour about 1/3 cup batter onto waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer& instructions. Repeat with remaining batter. Set waffles aside.
3. In medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Pour in heavy cream and add powdered sugar, and beat until soft peaks form.
4. Spread one waffle with cheesecake filling, then top with another waffle. (Repeat with other waffles.) Top each stack with chopped Oreos and whipped cream and serve immediately.

Ingredients

Chocolate Pastry Cream recipe:

Ingredients:
– 2 cups whole milk
– ½ cup sugar
– ½ vanilla bean.

– 4 large egg yolks
– ¼ cup cornstarch
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
– 200gm chocolate, finely chopped

Method

1. Chocolate sheet. Melt the chocolate and mix with coco butter after that make sheet according the size.
Chocolate Pastry Cream

2. Boiled milk with sugar and mix rest all ingredients together with milk, in slow flame till cream will thick.

3. Fill the pastry bag with the pastry cream, and pipe evenly onto the strip.
Once assembled, the Napoleon is best eaten the same day.

Italian Chocolate Love Cake

 

Italian Chocolate Love Cake

 

Ingredients

Sugar 500gm

Cocoa powder 50gm

Egg 6no.

Butter 300gm

Chocolate 500gm

Flour 250gm

Ricotta cheese 300gm

Mascarpone cheese 150gm

Whipped cream 250gm

Sweet fennel seeds 100gm(for garnish)

Cranberry juice 50ml

Method

1. Melt butter and chocolate in a bowl whisk together and keep aside.

2.Beat eggs and sugar in a bowl till the sugar dissolves..

3.Mix dry dry ingredients like flour and cocoa powder..

4.Add chocolate and butter mix and mix all the ingredients.

5.Pour mixture in a tray layered half add whipped ricotta cheese and then pour remaining cake batter..

6.Bake the cake in the oven at 180 degree centigrade temperature for 25-30 minutes.

7.Let it cool and keep in refrigerator for chilling.

8.Garnish cake with remaining whipped cream cheese mix and cranberry juice.

9.Garnish with sweet fennel on top cut in slices and serve.

Chocolate Cheese Canneloni

 

Choclate Cheese canneloni

 

Ingredients

115 ounce carton ricotta cheese

1/4cup granulated sugar

4teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1teaspoon vanilla

1/2teaspoon finely shredded orange peel

1/4cup finely chopped dark or bittersweet chocolate

10 – 12Homemade Chocolate Cannoli Shells or packaged cannoli shells

Powdered sugar

Unsweetened cocoa powder(optional)

Method

1.For filling, in a medium bowl stir together ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, 4 teaspoons cocoa powder, vanilla, and orange peel until almost smooth. Fold in chocolate. Cover and chill until needed.

2.Meanwhile, if using, prepare Homemade Chocolate Cannoli Shells.

3. Spoon filling into a pastry bag fitted with a large open star or round tip. Pipe filling into cannoli shells. If desired, cover and chill for up to 1 hour. Before serving, sprinkle cannoli with powdered sugar and, if desired, additional cocoa powder.
