We all come across feeds of travellers on Instagram these days which make us want to leave everything behind, pack our bags and set out. For one man, however, it all came to life. Meet Bishal Kumar Das, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and traveller influencer who has travelled across 44 nations.

Growing up in the state of Odisha, Das graduated from The University of Roehampton, London with a degree in International marketing in 2016. He opened up to the beauty of travel at a young age of 7. It all started with a trip alongside my father, Das said.

However, graduation wasnít the first time Das visited London. Prior to that, he went to London in 2012 for an exchange programme and that’s when he decided that he’d like to re-visit. “My father loves to travel. I think that is where I inherited it from. He believes that to travel is to gain knowledge,” he added.

Since 2005, Das has been to 44 countries, learning about various cultures and lifestyles and he wishes to visit each country on the planet before he turns 40. When asked about his experience travelling around, he said, “I’m on a mission to travel everywhere; thatís my ultimate goal. I want to inspire people and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and know about different cultures and people.

“Out of all the countries I’ve been to, I think I loved Iceland the most,” Das replied when asked about his favourite destination. While many travellers hesitate in travelling to Iceland due to the harsh living conditions, Das describes Iceland as the perfect destination for a seasoned or even a first-time solo traveller.

“The locals are quite friendly and the scenery around is absolutely stunning,” he quipped. He even recommended every traveller to visit Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland at least once.

Bishal Kumar Das has now returned to India and started his own business. Being an environmentalist, he has also invested heavily in the environmental business of India.
