YouTuber and Instagram influencer Ali Aalyan Iqbal has landed in legal trouble after being booked by Leh Police for violating environmental norms and endangering Ladakh’s fragile ecosystem by performing dangerous stunts on a superbike.
Ali, widely known for his biking and bodybuilding content, has been charged under Sections 125 and 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 for performing dangerous stunts on a superbike in ecologically sensitive and restricted zones — specifically around Pangong Lake and the sand dunes of the Nubra Valley.
Ali, who has 2.74 million subscribers on his channel, was in Ladakh in the last week of June. During his visit, he allegedly recorded and shared videos and photos of himself riding recklessly in these prohibited areas, which later surfaced on his social media platforms.
The Leh district police posted images from his stunts on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating: “A domestic tourist was booked U/S 125 & 292 of BNS 2023 for dangerously riding a bike in restricted zones of Pangong Lake & Nubra sand dunes, endangering Ladakh’s fragile ecosystem.”
Police have reiterated their appeal to tourists and influencers to adhere to local laws and respect the environmental sensitivities of the region.
“Visitors are urged to respect local laws to protect Ladakh’s fragile ecosystem,” the police added.
It is worth mentioning that a tourist couple from Jaipur was booked for driving their SUV on the Nubra sand dunes some time ago.
Another group of tourists were spotted driving their SUV in the eco-sensitive Pangong Lake.
