Youth held for pro-Pak slogans, threat to CM Yogi on Facebook

A Muslim youth from Achhaniya village in Lakhimpur has been arrested for posting inflammatory content on Facebook, including slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Modi Murdabad”, along with a direct threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The post that went viral on social media on Monday caused widespread outrage and panic.

The accused, identified as Tayyab Khan, reportedly wrote a threatening message on his Facebook account, stating, “CM Yogi, your days are numbered. We will blow you up with a bomb.”

The post included pro-Pakistan and anti-India sentiments, sparking fury among BJP supporters and Hindu organizations across the region.

Tayyab Khan is said to be the nephew of a former village head of Achhaniya who is currently working as a bus conductor for a local Samajwadi Party (SP) leader.

As the Facebook post spread online rapidly, local police sprang into action. The Neemgaon Police registered an FIR in the case and arrested Tayyab Khan from his village. Station in-charge Alok Dhiman, confirming the arrest, stated that further investigation and questioning are underway.
