An increasing number of land disputes are surfacing in Uttar Pradesh, with the issue taking center stage at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Janata Darshan on Monday. Among the complainants was a CRPF jawan from Prayagraj, who sought the CM’s intervention in a land-related matter. Yogi directed the local administration to ensure that the matter is resolved at the earliest.
Another land-related complaint came from a woman whose husband is posted in Assam; she reported difficulties in taking possession of her land in Prayagraj despite having purchased it. The Chief Minister accepted her letter and directed prompt action.
The increasing number of land dispute complaints from across Uttar Pradesh came into sharp focus during the Janata Darshan programme. A CRPF jawan from Prayagraj appealed directly to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over a land issue, prompting the CM to instruct the local administration to resolve the matter at the earliest.
Another land-related complaint came from a woman married to a government official posted in Assam. She claimed that despite having purchased her land in Prayagraj, she was facing difficulties in taking possession. After accepting her letter, the Chief Minister directed officials to take prompt action.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally listened to the concerns of over 50 complainants during the Janata Darshan, assuring timely and appropriate redressal.
A woman from Saharanpur, who lacked a ration card and had faced verbal harassment from a dealer while trying to collect ration, was another petitioner. Taking serious note of this, the CM directed “strict action” and emphasized that public servants “must treat citizens with respect and dignity”.The Chief Minister warned the government officials, saying, “any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.”
During the programme, Manju Devi Tripathi sought financial assistance for medical treatment at Apollo Hospital. CM Yogi assured assistance and urged her to submit the hospital estimate so the government could cover the treatment expenses promptly.
Individuals with disabilities were also heard. Udhham Yadav, a resident of Ghazipur requested for an increased pension alongwith facilities including Ayushman card, a hand pump, and suitable housing. The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the delivery of these benefits and personally presented him with an electronic walking stick.
