Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), reacting to the judicial report on Sambhal violence, has announced that the Parishad will not tolerate the nefarious attempt to make Sambhal a base for Jihadis.
Sambhal witnessed violence on November 24, the second day of the Shahi Jama Masjid survey after a local court ordered it, as demonstrators assembled near the mosque and clashed with the police, leading to heavy stone pelting and alleged gunfire by the security forces. A three-member judicial commission has submitted its report on the November 2024 violence to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The VHP said that not only Sambhal but Hindus of the entire country needs to be vigilant. ”Vishwa Hindu Parishad will not let the holy land of Kalki become a base for Jihadis under any circumstances,” VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said on Sunday.
He said, “The Sambhal report has opened the eyes of the country. The revelations in the report submitted by the judicial commission should make the Hindu society alert and cautious. The way Satyavrat Nagar was made Sambhal, and then the nefarious attempt was made to make it a Jihadi hub, is an eye-opener. Even after independence, the residents of the place fell prey to the dominance of the policy of Jihadi appeasement to such an extent that they were forced to migrate, leaving behind not only life and religion but also all their assets.”
The VHP alleged that terrorists were constantly nurtured in Sambhal. ”It was made a centre for conducting illegal anti-national activities and anti-Hindu activities. An attempt was made to create a new Jihadistan, thereby tarnishing the holy land of Kalki Dham. In the last 70 years, deadly mass attacks have taken place more than 15 times under a well-planned conspiracy.”
He said,” If there were no government of Yogi Adityanath, it would be unimaginable what the condition of Hindus there would be. The incident of 2019 in which Hindus were attacked, if the local police were not active, vigilant, and capable, neither our religious places would have survived nor those who follow them would have survived. A similar repetition is seen all over India, where Jihadis are put forward under the patronage of the leaders of the secular gang, and Hindus are attacked.”
Bansal said, “Now the society has also stood up to counter this. Now the need is to destroy the advocates of these Jihadis and their network in the entire matter. Not only Sambhal, but the local administration as well as the society will have to be alert about the mini Pakistans being formed in various places in the entire country. Only the organised and cultured power of the Hindu society can curb such conspiracies being hatched against the country and religion.”
The senior VHP official said that the Vishva Hindu Parishad is of the clear opinion that now the Hindu society needs courage, not migration. ”Wherever the Hindu is living in the world, he should not feel alone and insecure. VHP and the entire Hindu society stand with him. Wherever such activities are taking place, they should inform the local administration as well as the VHP,” he stressed.
The judicial committee constituted for the Sambhal violence in its report on the Sambhal violence of 2024 has highlighted the sharp decline in the Hindu population in this district of western Uttar Pradesh from 45 per cent at the time of independence to 15 per cent at present.
After this revelation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also said in strong words that now there is such a double-engine government in the country, which will not allow the demography to change, and if anyone makes such a nefarious attempt, he will be forced to migrate from there.
