The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday informed that updates regarding participation of leaders in the upcoming BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in India would be shared at an appropriate time.
Addressing his weekly media briefing in New Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, India is the chair of BRICS this year, so we will be holding several meetings, including the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.”
“As far as the confirmation and dates are concerned, we shall provide an update on both aspects at the appropriate time,” he said.
The MEA spokesperson stated that India has invited BRICS member countries, partner countries and others.
“We will be giving you an update in this regard as to the participation, who are the leaders, countries participating, or will be participating in these meetings”, Jaiswal said.
