Samajwadi Party national president and MP Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday once again attacked the BJP government, and the Election Commission on Wednesday over irregularities in the electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh during the 2022 assembly polls.

He said, ”This is an innocent question of the people to the DMs, why have the answers come after so many years?”

Akhilesh Yadav’s post highlighted a controversy over 18,000 affidavits allegedly submitted to the Election Commission, challenging claims of voter list discrepancies in Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav shared a post on his social media account, writing that ”the way the DMs of Kasganj, Barabanki, and Jaunpur have suddenly become very active regarding our 18,000 affidavits, it has proved one thing: that what the Election Commission was saying, that ‘the matter of affidavit is wrong,’ means that affidavits were not found; their statement turned out to be false.”

Akhilesh Yadav said, “If no affidavit was found, then what are these district magistrates answering? Now, the involvement of these district magistrates, who are fulfilling the formality by giving superficial answers, should also be investigated.” The Samajwadi Party leader said that “the court should take cognizance; either the Election Commission or the DM is wrong, isn’t it? No one has the slightest faith in the explanation given by those who have been caught on CCTV.”

Akhilesh Yadav said that “No matter how strong the alliance of lies looks, ultimately lies lose because the joint business of negative people is to fulfill their selfish interests; such corrupt people are neither loyal to their faith nor their family nor the society, so how will they be loyal to their partners?”

He has said that these dishonest people cheat the country and the countrymen throughout their lives, and finally, when caught, they are sentenced to live a life full of humiliation.

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the collusion of the BJP government, the Election Commission, and the local administration is the ‘election trio’, which has spoiled the whole work and looted the country’s democracy. Now the public will take this ‘trio’ to court, he claimed.
