Sharad Pawar-led NCP MLA met Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi in Delhi on Wednesday and questioned why the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena was prevented from raising Ajit Pawar’s air crash in the Lok Sabha.

“The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, which preserves Marathi pride, tried to bring about a discussion through an adjournment motion, but they were not allowed to speak. Just like such a discussion is not allowed in the Maharashtra state legislature, why are there obstacles being created in the Parliament as well? No matter how many obstacles are created, nobody will be able to save the guilty,” Rohit Pawar told media persons.

“For a transparent inquiry into Ajit Dada’s air crash in the Parliament, we are meeting all leaders of the INDIA alliance with the help of (Sharad Pawar-led) NCP Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule and following it up. All parties in the INDIA alliance including the Congress are going to demand a transparent inquiry into Ajit Pawar’s air crash,” Rohit Pawar said, who met Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge earlier.

Earlier in the day, Rohit Pawar also met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari of the BJP and discussed the investigation into Ajit Pawar’s air crash.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLA Amol Mitkari told media persons in Mumbai, “There has been no discussion on Ajit Pawar’s air crash in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly yet. There are only two days left this week and there are holidays next week too, after which the Budget Session will conclude. That means they simply don’t want to have any discussion regarding Ajit Pawar’s air crash”.
