‘West Bengal is suffering due to TMC misrule’: PM Modi ahead of Durgapur rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday alleged that “West Bengal is suffering due to TMC misrule” and the People are seeing the BJP with hope.”

“West Bengal is suffering due to TMC misrule. People are seeing the BJP with hope and are convinced that only the BJP can deliver on development. Tomorrow, 18th July, will be addressing a @BJP4Bengal rally in Durgapur. Do join,” PM Modi said in a post on his X handle.

He will be on a day-long visit to Bihar and West Bengal on Friday, where he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate multiple development projects to the nation.

In West Bengal, he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 5,000 crore at Durgapur at around 3 pm and will also address a gathering on the occasion.

Modi’s comments reflect the BJP’s ongoing criticism of the TMC government in West Bengal.

In a separate post on X, the prime minister wrote: “Looking forward to being among the people of West Bengal tomorrow, 18th July. At a programme in Durgapur, will lay the foundation stones for various works and also inaugurate projects worth over Rs. 5000 crore. The projects cover sectors like oil and gas, power, railways, roads.”
