Border Security Force (BSF) returned the body of two armed infiltrators, killed along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab, to Pakistan Rangers on humanitarian grounds on Friday.
According to BSF, the armed infiltrators were identified as Pakistani nationals.

Forces had foiled an infiltration bid on the intervening night of 19-20 September in Ajnala sector in Amritsar. The BSF had recovered an AK-47 assault rifle, a pistol and over two dozen bullet rounds from their possession.
Earlier, the spokesperson of BSF said, “When challenged by BSF troops, infiltrators fired on ambush line with automatic weapons. Taking cover, the fire was appropriately retaliated and infiltrators were neutralised near the border fence”.
A Pakistan SIM card, four kgs of heroin and Pakistani currency totalling Rs. 20,000 has been recovered from the two, spokesperson said.
