As the nation prepares to celebrate Deepawali, the festival of lights, Vice-President of India CP Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla have extended their warm greetings to the people.
Radhakrishnan, who is also the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and Speaker Birla Sunday conveyed their heartfelt wishes, emphasizing the significance of the festival and its values.
Radhakrishnan said, “Deepawali celebrates the triumph of goodness over evil and knowledge over ignorance. As we celebrate Deepawali, we must all shun negativity and Adharma and embrace positivity and Dharma – not only for our individual good but also for the overall progress of the Nation.”
Birla said, “Diwali is not only a time to celebrate joy but also to share it with others. We should strive to spread light in the lives of those around us. Let us take a pledge on this sacred festival to strengthen unity, brotherhood, mutual trust, and equality in our society.”
Both leaders prayed for the well-being and prosperity of the nation and its people. The Vice-President wished for Goddess Lakshmi’s blessings of peace, prosperity, and good health on everyone. The Speaker wished for Goddess Lakshmi to fill lives with happiness and prosperity, Goddess Saraswati to bless with knowledge and wisdom, and Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles.
