Video: Soldiers raise Tricolour at 18,000 feet in minus 30 degrees

The entire nation is indulged in celebrating the 69th Republic day. In a video that will fill your heart with pride, jawans can be seen marching on ice-laden Himalayas with Indian flag in their hand.

The video was released by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today. The official Twitter handle of ITBP posted the video as a part of their Republic Day celebration.

The march ended with the hoisting of flag at 18000 feet height and the temperature was minus 30.

The tweet quickly went viral with over a thousand re-tweets and more than two thousand likes already.

Many Twitter users praised the jawans for their heroic act.

A twitter user wrote, “Freedom in our spirit, Strength in our words, Purity in our actions,  Pride in our souls, Let us salute our country – India  Happy Republic Day’ and others also joined hands in saluting the soldiers.
