Vice President Naidu, PM Narendra Modi greet CISF on Raising Day

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on its 49th Raising Day and hailed it for securing the country’s key establishments.

“With Protection and Security as their motto, the premier multi-skilled security agency is securing all critical infrastructure installations of the country,” Naidu tweeted.

“My best wishes to CISF personnel deployed across the country on the raising day. The whole of India is proud of your services,” he added.

Modi in his tweet said: “Greetings and best wishes to @CISFHQrs on their Raising Day. CISF has distinguished itself by effectively catering to the security needs of vital establishments, many of which are driving India’s resurgence as well as connecting the nation.”

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju also greeted the force for its role in safeguarding the citizens and important installations.

“Warm wishes and greetings to @CISFHQrs personnel and their families on their 49th Raising Day. CISF is a multidimensional force known for its professionalism and competence,” Rajnath tweeted.

“They protect our strategic installations and pave way for India’s march towards progress and prosperity,” he added.

Rijiju in his message said: “I extend my best wishes to @CISFHQrs on their Raising Day. CISF has effectively established as a special force with multi-dimensional and challenging role in securing our country.”

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) came into existence in 1969 to provide integrated security cover to public sector undertakings and at present has a strength of around 1.4 lakh personnel.

The force is responsible for securing critical infrastructure installations like nuclear installations, space establishments, airports as well as the Delhi Metro
