All kind of information pertaining to the yatra, ranging from stay arrangements, medical aid, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, etc. will be provided to the pilgrims. (SNS)

The CRPF, as a special security measure is fixing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) on vehicles of all Amarnath pilgrims to track their movement.

A spokesman of CRPF said that the objective of RFID tags is to ensure the security of yatra vehicles. For this purpose, CRPF has established RFID tagging centres at various places in the Jammu region, including Lakhanpur, Civil Airport Jammu, Railway Station, Bus Stand, Yatri Base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Ban Toll Plaza, Roun village in Udhampur and Nashri Tunnel.

While appealing the yatris and issuing necessary guidance related to security, the CRPF is expecting cooperation from the yatris, he said. Pamphlets containing these guidelines are also being distributed by the CRPF among the yatris.

The spokesman said that to provide all necessary assistance to Amarnath pilgrims, CRPF has established a help desk at the Railway Station. A similar help desk has been established at the Airport. The objective of these help desks is to provide all kinds of guidance to the pilgrims reaching the Railway Station and Airport from various parts of the country.

All kind of information pertaining to the yatra, ranging from stay arrangements, medical aid, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, etc. will be provided to the pilgrims.
