A day after being re-elected as Bihar’s ruling party JD-U’s state President, Vashishth Narain Singh was on Monday formally installed here.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former party President Sharad Yadav were present at the ceremony.

Singh, considered close to Nitish Kumar, also the JD-U President, was re-elected unopposed. He was the lone candidate to have filed his papers for the post.

"My vision is clear to work hard for the expansion of the party," said Singh, a Rajya Sabha MP.
