Senior bureaucrat Suresh Kumar Vashishth on Friday assumed charge as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
After assuming the charge, he was welcomed by Departmental Director Ms. Parul Patawari, Special Secretary Ms. Rajani Jani, Financial Advisor and Special Secretary Jayashree Tripathy, Additional Secretaries, Deepak Routrai and Sonia Behera, along with other senior officers and staff.
Vashishth later emphasized the need to streamline departmental activities and sought the cooperation of all officers for the effective implementation of welfare-oriented schemes aimed at empowerment and entitlements of persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
