In a shocking incident, police in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun took a woman into custody for allegedly strangling her four-year-old daughter to death after a major dispute with her husband.
On Thursday night, people received an information that Vinita allegedly killed her own daughter in the Akbarpur village, which falls under the Aata police station limits, after an argument with her husband Rajkumar, PTI quoted Additional Superintendent of Police Ishan Soni as saying.
Soon after, a police team reached the spot and cordoned off the house. They recovered the child’s body and took the accused woman into custody.
During interrogation, the woman is said to have informed people officials that she killed her daughter after having a fight with her husband.
After the accused confessed to the crime, the senior police official said she was booked under relevant sections of the law and sent to jail. Meanwhile, the child’s body was sent for post-mortem examination.
