Uttar Pradesh, through its investment promotion agency Invest UP, is set to participate in World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, from July 21 to August 1, with a focused agenda to present the state as a premier investment destination.

As part of India’s national participation in this global event, Invest UP will set up a dedicated Uttar Pradesh Pavilion at the Osaka Expo, highlighting the state’s progressive policy landscape, industrial strengths, and transformative infrastructure.

The state will use this opportunity to showcase its readiness for global partnerships across sectors such as manufacturing, electronics, green hydrogen, and renewable energy.

The participation reflects the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to transform Uttar Pradesh into a one trillion-dollar economy by attracting high-value investments and fostering strategic collaborations with international stakeholders. The delegation will also seek to strengthen India-Japan cooperation in support of Uttar Pradesh’s development goals.

Officials said on Saturday that a high-level UP government delegation will visit Japan in two phases. The first delegation, visiting from July 21 to 24, will be led by State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, accompanied by Principal Secretary Alok Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Amit Singh, and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Vipin Kumar Jain.

The second delegation, visiting from July 28 to August 1, will be led by IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma along with Principal Secretary (Planning) Alok Kumar, Additional CEO of Invest UP Shashank Chaudhary, Additional CEO of UPSIDA Charchit Gaur, and other senior officials.

The delegations aim to engage with global investors, visit key industrial and clean energy sites, and explore opportunities for collaborations in renewable energy, green hydrogen, electronics manufacturing, and sustainable infrastructure.

Additionally, discussions will include student exchange programs, tourism promotion, and employment opportunities in Japan for the youth of Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening India-Japan cooperation in the state.

World Expo 2025, being held in Osaka from April 13 to October 13, with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” offers Uttar Pradesh a global platform to align its growth trajectory with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, under the sub-themes of ‘Saving, Empowering, and Connecting Lives.’

Through its participation, Uttar Pradesh aims to forge deeper international ties and establish itself as a significant player on the global investment map.
