Uttar Pradesh Tourism will participate in the Tourism Expo Japan 2025 to be held from September 25 to 28 at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.
The state will showcase its Buddhist Circuit, pilgrimage destinations, monuments, festivals, cuisine, and crafts through a dedicated pavilion.
The expo, which includes the JATA Travel Mart, features a four-day programme with an international conference, two days of B2B travel mart, and a public day for cultural exchange. Uttar Pradesh Tourism’s pavilion will highlight the campaign ‘Embark on your Bodhi Yatra in Uttar Pradesh’, presenting the life and teachings of Lord Buddha along with the state’s broader tourism offerings.
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh on Wednesday said, “Uttar Pradesh is not just a destination, it is an experience of timeless culture and spirituality. Japan shares a deep bond with India through Buddhism, and Tourism Expo Japan 2025 provides us the opportunity to strengthen this connection, inspire travellers, and create opportunities that benefit both our regions.”
The state delegation, including senior officials and tourism industry partners, will meet Japanese travel professionals to strengthen collaborations and promote inbound tourism. With international airports in Delhi and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh aims to position itself as a leading global tourism destination, officials said.
