As Ayodhya readies to shimmer in the light of 26 lakh diyas, Uttar Pradesh Tourism has added yet another reason for devotees and travellers to rejoice.

To make Deepotsav 2025 an unforgettable experience, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) has launched a special one-day guided tour from Lucknow to Ayodhya — curated for those who wish to witness the city’s divine splendour on October 19, 2025 without any travel hassles.

The announcement follows the strong response to UPSTDC’s weekend guided tours to Naimisharanya and Ayodhya, launched on World Tourism Day. These tours have received an enthusiastic response, with an average of 22–25 travellers every weekend choosing to spend their days in Ayodhya, soaking in the spiritual aura of the holy city.

During Durga Puja, the Bengali community showed exceptional enthusiasm, filling multiple weekend slots for the Ayodhya trail.

Encouraged by this response, UPSTDC has designed a Deepotsav-exclusive tour — a one-day journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya and back, complete with transport, meals, guides, and a front-row experience of the grand celebrations. Per person rate is Rs 1500.

Officials said visitors will witness the lighting of 26 lakh diyas, a breathtaking aerial drone show, Maha Aarti, laser projections, and grand eco-friendly fireworks on the banks of the Saryu at Ram ki Paidi. Throughout the journey, local guides will share stories and legends of Lord Rama, turning the trip into a living narration of the Ramayana.

UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “Deepotsav is not just a celebration, it’s an emotion that unites people through faith and light. This special package allows everyone to experience the divinity of Ayodhya in a convenient and meaningful way.”

Special Secretary, Tourism, Eesha Priya, added, “The earlier guided tours were loved by travellers of all ages, especially families and senior citizens. With the Deepotsav package, we are ensuring that every visitor experiences Ayodhya’s spiritual charm in comfort, safety, and joy.”

Travellers who have already taken the UPSTDC tours shared heartwarming feedback. Prakash Mitra, who travelled with seven family members on October 5, said, “We had heard of Ayodhya’s magic, but seeing it through UP Tourism’s guided tour made it truly special. The experience was seamless — every stop felt like a story coming alive.”

To make travel more convenient, UPSTDC has also introduced pick-up directly from the railway station for Naimisharanya travellers, while Ayodhya tours will continue to begin from Hotel Gomti.

With this new initiative, UP Tourism continues its mission of turning pilgrimages into soulful journeys, where devotion meets discovery and every traveller returns home with memories of faith and light.
