Uttar Pradesh Tourism & Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh Tuesday, reviewed preparations for the upcoming Deepotsav 2025 in Ayodhya and Dev Deepawali in Varanasi, directing officials to ensure that the festivals are celebrated grandly and unforgettably.
The review meeting was held at the Tourism Directorate, where officials presented detailed plans for the twin events.
The minister emphasised that Deepotsav and Dev Deepawali are not merely religious or cultural festivals but powerful platforms for tourism promotion and local economic growth. He noted that these celebrations boost Uttar Pradesh’s brand image nationally as well as internationally, attracting lakhs of visitors and putting Ayodhya and Varanasi on the global tourism map.
“Deepotsav and Dev Deepawali are opportunities to present Uttar Pradesh’s cultural richness to the world. The celebrations must leave every visitor with an unforgettable experience. Through these festivals, Ayodhya and Kashi will gain new dimensions of recognition on the world stage,” Minister Jaiveer Singh said.
He directed officials to give top priority to visitor convenience, including crowd management, cleanliness, lighting arrangements, and promotion strategies. A wide publicity campaign will also be rolled out to ensure greater participation of domestic and international tourists.
During the meeting, Singh instructed the departments of Tourism and Culture to work in close coordination so that the grandeur of the events matches global standards. He added that the festivities should highlight not only spiritual significance but also the artistic, musical, and cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh.
