Before the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day 2026, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the people of the state through a letter, reiterating the commitment to development, good governance, and a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
In his message on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh, a state with immense potential, has broken the shackles of struggle and deprivation and transformed from a backward state into the growth engine of India’s development.
The Chief Minister said that the rule of law and good governance have been established with firm resolve.
“The reign of terror of the mafia, which flourished under political patronage, has ended, and development has been accelerated. Investors who once stayed away from the state due to law and order concerns are now vying to invest in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
In his message, the Chief Minister mentioned the achievements in the agricultural sector, stating that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the backbone of the country’s food security.
“Improved systems from seed to market and record DBT payments have increased the income of farmers. Industries have expanded unprecedentedly, reducing migration and creating new employment opportunities,” he said.
CM Yogi said that due to the efforts of the double-engine government, schemes like expressways, railways, metro, airports, IT-software, MSMEs, industrial development, startups, and One District-One Product have propelled Uttar Pradesh strongly towards becoming a global player.
These initiatives have ensured large-scale employment for the youth of the state, he said.
Regarding women’s empowerment, the Chief Minister said that there has been a historic increase in women’s participation. The government is ensuring financial assistance for girls from birth to marriage. There is a pension system for destitute women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Healthcare services have become more accessible through the expansion of medical infrastructure and health technology.
The Chief Minister said that unprecedented connectivity by land, water, and air has given new impetus to trade, tourism, and investment. A golden journey of cultural renaissance is being written from Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura to Sambhal. Today, the brilliance of indigenous products is clearly visible in the state’s festivals.
He also said that the government has lifted more than six crore people out of poverty with the goal of achieving zero poverty. The double-engine government has transformed the state from a backward state to a progressive one, from a state with a deficit of facilities to one with a surplus of facilities, and from a state of neglect to a state of celebration.
Finally, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “On January 24, we are celebrating Uttar Pradesh Day. This is an opportunity to reiterate the resolve for a developed Uttar Pradesh. This journey of achieving success through collective efforts and determination will continue uninterrupted. He extended his heartfelt wishes to all the people of the state on Uttar Pradesh Day.”
