UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Friday that the people of the State rose above the politics of caste, creed and religion and chose BJP to bring in development adding that the politics of caste, creed and religion can never result in any welfare.

Addressing a public gathering in Ghazipur, Yogi termed the district as a perfect example of how to deal with mafias and criminal elements. He said, “UP shunned the politics of religion, caste and instilled faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

The Chief Minister said that BJP National President JP Nadda was taking the skills of the organization to the masses under the guidance of the Prime Minister. In his second term, JP Nadda, who has implemented democratic values and ideals with full commitment, has come to Ghazipur, this holy land of saints, sages and soldiers, after taking the blessings of Baba Vishwanath and Maa Ganga.  The national president has made Ghazipur the centerpiece of his second term programme.

He emphasised that Ghazipur had received the gift of a medical college when BJP national president JP Nadda served as the union health minister.

He said that the Lord Ram is of Indian heritage and that the meaningful form of the five hundred years long struggle is visible. “Today, under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, the work of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust seems to be progressing towards the final stage.  It shows our respect for heritage,” he said.

According to the Chief Minister, on one hand, development work and governance plans are reaching the people without any discrimination, while on the other hand, Ghazipur district has become a living example of what kind of action should be taken against professional criminals and mafia who are a threat to security.

He said that due to the Purvanchal Expressway, one can reach Lucknow from Ghazipur in just two and a half to three hours, whereas it used to take seven to eight hours earlier.

“Today, Ghazipur has its own medical college.  The biggest river cruise also left for Dibrugarh from Kashi via Ghazipur,” said the Chief Minister.

Yogi called upon the people to support those who bring development.
