The use of mobile phones in colleges and universities will be prohibited in Uttar Pradesh, as the Yogi government has released an order in this regard.

In a circular to the colleges and universities in the state, the Directorate of Higher Education has mentioned to put a blanket ban on the use of mobile phones.

The ban is applicable to students as well as teachers in the colleges and universities in the state.

The Directorate of Higher Education issued the circular to ensure a better teaching environment for students across all colleges and universities in the state.

The government has observed that a large number of students and teachers were spending valuable time on mobile phones during the college hours.

Yogi government has already banned the use of mobile phones during the official meeting in the state, including Cabinet meeting.

It was observed that during the meetings, some ministers and officers were busy reading messages on WhatsApp.
