Uttar Pradesh State BJP president, Bhupendra Singh Choudhury asked the party leaders and workers to ensure 80 seats in the next Lok Sabha polls in 2024 in the State, claiming that the opposition parties have lost their relevance before the masses.

He said that the political leaders, who got power in Uttar Pradesh by doing politics in the name of backward people, have so far only done good to their families and some of their loved ones.

“But the parties, doing caste politics, have forgotten that now the people have rejected the politics of caste and nepotism in elections,” he claimed.

In his address at the BJP State Working Committee meeting here on Sunday, Choudhary said that due to the relentless efforts of the workers in the past elections, the BJP has pushed the opposition parties far from the power in Delhi as well as in UP.

“We have also seen failures but should ensure that the fear of defeat does not enter our mind. Every journey has given us double the power each time,” he told the workers.

Blaming the Opposition for delay in the Urban Local Bodies poll, he said that everyone knows that the civic body elections in the State would have been completed by now. But the opposition parties made a malicious attempt to create hurdles in the civic body elections by adopting various tactics due to which such circumstances have arisen and the civic elections have been delayed.

The UP BJP State president said due to the wrong action of the opposition, today the municipal bodies of the State have come under the administrative control.

But, he said, the Yogi Adityanath Government will restore democracy in the bodies by holding the civic body elections soon, respecting the judicial process.

Chowdhary said under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation’s image on the various global forums has been transformed as a decisive force.

“India has got the presidency of prestigious international organizations like G-20 and Shanghai Cooperation Organization has started a new chapter of history in the country. On the other hand, in the largest State like Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the Government is ready to hold the third ground breaking ceremony to invite investors,” he said.
