Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, the state administration here has implemented an exceptionally high level of security.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an impenetrable security cover has been established, ensuring strict law-and-order management across the city.

On Monday, Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-site review to ensure seamless planning and arrangements and directed officials to ensure smooth execution of the event.

The prime minister will hoist the 10-foot-high, 20-foot-long triangular saffron flag atop the Ram temple. Depicting a shining sun, symbolizing Lord Shri Ram’s valor, alongside the sacred “Om” and the Kovidara tree, the flag embodies dignity, heritage, and the timeless values of Ramrajya.

The flag will be raised on the Shikhar of the temple, built in the traditional North Indian Nagara architectural style. Surrounding it is an 800-meter enclosure crafted in South Indian architecture, reflecting India’s rich architectural diversity. The outer walls of the main shrine display 87 carved stone panels depicting episodes from Lord Rama’s life based on the Valmiki Ramayana, while 79 bronze panels on the perimeter illustrate scenes from India’s cultural traditions.

Meanwhile, a total of 6,970 security personnel, including specialized commandos from the ATS, NSG snipers, cyber experts, and technical teams, have been deployed at the site. Anti-drone technology, sniper surveillance, and advanced monitoring systems are operational throughout the temple premises and surrounding areas.

Officials here said senior officials from Superintendents of Police to field-level teams are supervising operations to ensure seamless coordination.

Personnel tasked with crowd management, security screening, explosives detection, and emergency response have been stationed across key locations. Special units, including bomb squads, dog squads, VVIP protection teams, fire units, traffic division, and rapid response groups, are continuously active.

Modern safety equipment have been integrated into the security plan, including mine detection units, BDS squads, X-ray scanners, handheld metal detectors, vehicle scanners, CCTV surveillance systems, high-response vans, and ambulances.

Crowd-control barriers installed at major intersections, special security protocol for VIP routes and temple premises and sniper surveillance and high-rise monitoring along designated routes. Two ATS Commando Teams, two NSG sniper units along with anti-Drone Unit have been deployed.
