Under-construction jetty collapses in Gujarat’s Dwarka; one injured


Tragedy struck Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district on Thursday when an under-construction jetty collapsed in the Arabian Sea off Okha, leaving at least one person injured.

According to the Okha Marine Police, the incident occurred when one of the four pillars of the floating jetty at the Gujarat Maritime Board’s construction site gave way.

Around 10–12 workers were present on the jetty at the time of the collapse. All of them jumped into the sea and were swiftly rescued.

However, one worker sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a local medical facility.
