Uttarakhand Congress leader manhandles canteen operator

Congress legislators created embarrassing situation for their party by misbehaving in and outside the Uttarakhand assembly at Bharadisain (Gairsain). One Uttarakhand Congress leader lost his temper and thrashed a canteen operator at MLA hostel on Friday night. A Congress MLA lost his cool in the house on Saturday and was involved in creating ugly scene in the Uttarakhand Assembly at Bharadisain (Chamoli).

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat inspected the residential buildings constructed for Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and officials located at Bharadisain and met the canteen operator who was manhandled by Congress MLAs.

Expressing displeasure, Trivendra Rawat said, “MLAs should behave properly.” It is said that Congress leaders became angry with the food and services of the canteen. When the argument turned hot, one MLA manhandled the canteen operator.

The operator suffered minor injury on head. The incident created huge damage to the image of the party and it was the most talked about event of Gairsain on Saturday.

Congress leader and Ranikhet MLA Karan Mehra turned violent in the Uttarakhand Assembly on Saturday and charged the BJP MLAs.

A minor scuffle took place and Ruderpur MLA Rajkumar Thukral also exhibited his anger inside the house. The situation turned normal after some time, but the behaviour of the Congress MLA surprised all present in the house.

During inspection of the MLA residential complex, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Rawat instructed the forest and horticulture departments to plant flowers and trees in the assembly premises with mutual co-ordination.

He said that houses for ministers and officials have been constructed systematically in Bharadisain. He ordered to carry out tree-plantation to maintain the beauty of the premises.
