Reports say that the two were spotted by an Army patrol moving suspiciously at Parmandal Morh near Ratnuchak Military Station.

According to PTI, one of them hails from Kathua and the other from Doda.

They were seen taking pictures and videographing the military station and were immediately taken into custody for questioning.

Officials told PTI that the mobile phones of the two men were scanned during which it came to light that they were in regular contact with some persons in Pakistan and have also shared some videos with them a few hours before their arrest.

Military camps have been targeted by terrorists in the past.

On 10 February 2018, four JeM terrorists attacked the Sunjuwan Army camp killing 11 soldiers and one civilian. All four terrorists were neutralised by security forces.

On 2 January 2016, five terrorists attacked the Pathankot Air Force Station in Punjab. Seven soldiers lost their lives in the attack while all terrorists were killed.

Later, in September 2016, four JeM terrorists killed 19 Indian Army soldiers in a military camp at Uri. The incident led to a surgical strike by the Indian Army special forces on terror launchpads across the LoC.
