Two coaches of Shiv Ganga Express derail near Varanasi station, no disruption reported

Two coaches of the Shiv Ganga Express train derailed a short distance from Varanasi station on Monday. The empty train was heading from the station to the washing yard. Railway officials, along with staff and a technical team, immediately began work to restore the derailed coaches.

It was reported that the empty Shiv Ganga Express train was being moved to the washing line for maintenance when two of its coaches derailed near the Manduadih vegetable market.

Vivek Singh, Varanasi Station Superintendent, stated that the empty coaches were on their way to the washing yard for maintenance. He added that the situation is normal at present and the track has been repaired.
