Three workers lost their lives on Monday following a gas leak at the Surya Carpet factory located in Aurai, Bhadohi. The incident occurred inside the dyeing house cabin, reportedly originating from the washing plant.

According to factory staff, mechanics, Sheetla Mishra (55), Shivam Dubey (32), and Rajkishor Tiwari (52), had descended into the cabin to repair a motor. The impact of the gas leak was so severe that all three collapsed and lost consciousness within seconds.

The incident unfolded so quickly that the workers standing above the cabin were unable to grasp what had happened. Hearing screams, other employees rushed to the spot, pulled the three men out, and took them to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared all three dead on arrival.

All the deceased workers were residents of Madhya Pradesh. The authorities are investigating the cause of the leak and the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
