In a landmark achievement, three sisters of Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district obtained their PhD degrees together in their first attempt and also registered their names in the ‘Limca Book of World Records’ on Saturday.

They were felicitated by the district in-charge Narottam Mishra.

The Mishra sisters – Archana, Anjana and Ashu — are natives of a small village, Rakriya, in Rewa and belong to a middle class family.

They have done their PhDs from Avdhesh Pratap Singh University in Rewa.

They are very hardworking and intelligent and have done all the research work, which is part of the PhD programme, during adverse circumstances, an official statement said.

Mishra said the achievement of the sisters will be a shining example for society,
