Three senior BSP leaders expelled from party

Taking a big action, the Bahujan Samaj Party ( BSP) has expelled  three senior party leaders former MP Shahid Akhlaq, former district President Prashant Gautam and former city president Kanti Prasad for indiscipline. It, however, is believed that the action has been taken up by the party leadership to pass on the strong message in the party after its debacle in the recently concluded assembly election in the state.

Confirming the expulsion of party leaders Shahid Akhlaq, Prashant Gautam and Kanti Prasad, district BSP president Aswini Jatav said that this is a disciplinary action taken on the directions of the national leadership of the party. 

Shahid Akhlaq has been facing tough times  as recently his meat factory was sealed and now the expulsion from the party for indiscipline . It, however, is not for the first time that he is facing action of the party earlier be was suspended by the party rank and files also for indiscipline.

Earlier Akhlaq  came in soup after his photo with the than chief minister Akhilesh Yadav became viral at the social media. He was than suspended by the party the decision which was revoked few months before the assembly election. Now he was given the responsibility to mobilise minority votes in the region but he failed to deliver the goods for the party. 

Besides former city president Kanti Prasad the other leader who faced expulsion is Prashant Gautam, a two time district president Gautam, who was also co-ordinator of Uttarakhand state in the assembly election, also reportedly had an altercation with the former MLA and BSP leader Yogesh Verma at the party office on Tuesday . Gautam had contested and lost  the 2012 assembly election from Hastinapur on BSP ticket against Verma who was in peace party than.

The action against the three senior leaders of the area, however, is believed to be taken by the party leadership for their failure to mobilise the voters in favour of the party. Earlier  the party leadership has also taken action against MLC Atar Singh, who was incharge of western UP by taking the responsibility from him.
