Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday alleged that Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested Sabarimala thanthri Kadararu Rajeevaru in connection with the Sabarimala gold heist to hide the role of former devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran and present Devaswom Minister VN Vasavan in the case.
Speaking to the media after visiting Thantri Rajeevaru, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital here, Chandrasekhar said that Thanthri was arrested without an iota of evidence against him. The court said so. Then it was a drama to deflect attention from former and current devaswmo minister V N Vasavan
He asked why Thantri was arrested without any evidence if not to hide the role of Vasavan and Kadakampally Surendran.
The Kerala BJP chief further said that if the Chief Minister has love for Ayyappa and Ayyappa devotees, he should do three things — the Sabarimala gold heist case should be transferred to the CBI, a new statement should be given to the Supreme Court on the entry of young women in Sabarimala temple, and all the cases registered in connection with the protest against the entry of young women in Sabarimala should be withdrawn.
