Shiv Sena’s youth wing leader Aaditya Thackeray teamed up with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his son Arjun Tendulkar in a clean-up drive in Mumbai early Tuesday and the noble cause earned the trio praises from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Thackeray posted pictures of their cleanliness drive on Twitter as he along with the Tendulkars cleaned a part of Bandra Fort in Mumbai, marking the beginning of ‘Swachh Bharat Week’ under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ – a pet project of PM Modi.

Modi retweeted Thackeray’s post and lauded the efforts especially heaping praises on “youngsters” Aaditya and Arjun.

In a series of tweets, Modi said: “Happy to see wide scale participation by youngsters, including Arjun in #SwachhataHiSeva. Our Yuva Shakti will make a Swachh Bharat. I congratulate my young friend @AUThackeray for participating in a cleanliness initiative in Mumbai & adding momentum to #SwachhataHiSeva.”

He further said people across India will be “inspired” by the efforts of Sachin Tendulkar.

“The continued commitment of @sachin_rt towards a @swachhbharat is deeply appreciable. People across India will be inspired by his efforts.”
