The bypoll for the Jubilee Hills constituency, which is witnessing a triangular contest between the Congress, the BRS, and the BJP, recorded a low turnout of 47.16 per cent. The BRS complained to the Election Commission of India that the Congress resorted to gross violations of the election code on Tuesday, and several leaders who do not belong to Jubilee Hills were present in the area and tried to influence the voters through unfair means.

For the first time in election history, drones were pressed into action for surveillance to ensure transparent and secure voting.

Jubilee Hills constituency, which includes both posh areas, has a history of low turnout. Although voting was sluggish initially, the voter turnout increased in the afternoon, and long queues formed in slum areas. BRS accused the ruling Congress of openly violating election rules, alleging that deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka toured several areas in his official convoy. It also accused Congress ministers, MLAs, and MPs of roaming in the constituency despite being outsiders and even distributing cash among voters.

The party named sitting MLAs Ramchandra Naik, Beeria Alaiah, and MLC Shankar Naik of roaming at polling stations and canvassing in support of the Congress candidate Naveen Yadav. They even attached photographs to the memorandum as evidence. The three were later booked for MCC violations. The Opposition party also accused AIMIM MLA from Karwan of moving around Minority dominated areas of the constituency to influence voters. BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, wife of the deceased MLA, was seen arguing with the police, alleging rigging and bogus voting by Congress.

Around 226 out of 407 polling stations were marked as critical, and 1800 police personnel, including central armed forces, were deployed in the constituency. A total of 139 drones were deployed to maintain a close watch.
