RJD National Working President Tejashwi Yadav on Monday launched a sharp attack on the NDA government in Bihar, alleging that it was formed by “strangling democracy” through manipulation and conspiracy and has remained largely inactive since taking office.
In a message posted on X on Monday, he claimed that the government has been “sitting idle for five months and seven days,” indulging in “lies, deceit, and hypocrisy” instead of governance.
He further alleged that the new government has already wasted 43.29% of its first year without any clear direction, long-term plan, vision, roadmap, blueprint, detailed action plan, or timeline.
Questioning the capability of the leadership, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly said that “the entire Bihar” is aware of the “depth, reasoning, and knowledge” of the new Chief Minister.
The RJD leader also claimed that in the past 23 weeks, the government has not undertaken any new initiative and has only repeated “worn-out and outdated issues” while spreading misinformation. He alleged that no cabinet meeting has been held for months and that even the new Chief Minister may take another month to form the cabinet.
Tejashwi further alleged that Bihar is no longer being governed from within the state but is being run “by the remote control of two Gujarati brothers.” He added that when the government runs out of options, it will think about Bihar “in its spare time,” while the “selected CM” continues to “roam around making reels and passing time.”
Expressing concern over the situation, Yadav said that the people of Bihar are “shedding tears of regret.” He claimed that while the state was previously run with self-respect, dignity, and hard work by its people, “opportunistic, weak, and fearful” NDA leaders have compromised Bihar’s identity in their bid to remain in power.
He further alleged that the consequences of such governance are being borne by unemployed youth, students, and hardworking citizens, particularly in a state where nearly 60% of the population is young.
