After Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport suffered a massive glitch this morning, causing delays of over 400 flights, flight operations at Mumbai Airport on Friday have also been affected due to a technical issue in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) at Delhi, which supports Air Traffic Control (ATC) flight planning.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, issued a passenger advisory following flight operation at Mumbai Airport being affected by a technical issue impacting the AMSS at Delhi, which supports ATC flight planning.

The concerned authorities are actively working to resolve the issue at the earliest.
As a result, airline operations may experience delays, added the advisory. Passengers are advised to connect with their respective airlines for updates on flight status and revised schedules, as per the advisory. “We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and cooperation,” the advisory stated.
After a technical issue developed in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, over 400 flights were delayed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Friday morning.
According to officials, the snag occurred due to a malfunction in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS), which feeds crucial flight plan data to the Auto Track System (ATS).
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), India’s busiest airport, handles over 1,500 flights every day. But on Friday, a major glitch hit its Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, causing massive delays.
Meanwhile, Mumbai airport handles around 950 to 980 flights per day, making it the second busiest airport in India
