Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 16 in connection with the ongoing investigation into teacher recruitment scam.
A team of the central agency on Wednesday, June 3, visited Abhishek Banerjee’s residence in Kalighat and served a notice at his office.

Notably, the ED had summoned him multiple times in the past as well, besides questioning his wife. The TMC leader was earlier summoned in both Kolkata and Delhi.
The central agency is probing allegations of financial irregularities worth crores of rupees as well as money laundering charges linked to the matter.
