The first group of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam performed Darshan and Puja of Lord Shiva at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Tuesday and received the Prasad of Shri Vishweshwara at the Annakshetra.

On arriving at the temple, officials of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust welcomed all the Tamil guests with traditional dignity. The entire group received a grand welcome amid a shower of flowers, the sound of the drum, and the blowing of conch shells, allowing all members to experience the rich spiritual tradition of Kashi.

Following the welcome, the group members had Darshan of Baba Vishwanath. The temple administration provided guests with a detailed tour of the grand corridor of the newly constructed Kashi Vishwanath Dham. During the tour, the members were given detailed information about the Dham’s historical form, architecture, new facilities, and the ever-growing stream of devotees.

Following the tour, all guests were treated to a prasad lunch at the temple-run Annakshetra. The Mahaprasad served at Annakshetra gave everyone a deep experience of Kashi’s ancient tradition of service and hospitality.

This first group of Kashi Tamil Sangamam was crucial in further strengthening the cultural, spiritual, and historical ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu. This day will remain a memorable symbol of the confluence of these two ancient traditions.

In the evening, Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4:0 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, TN Governor R N Ravi and other dignitaries at Namo Ghat.
