Surpassing Chief Minister MK Stalin’s ‘Mission Europe’ investment scouting tour, the ‘TN Rising Investment Conclave’ in Hosur in Krishnagiri district on Thursday witnessed the signing of MoUs worth Rs 26,000 crore.
It was a curated mix of big industries and MSMEs and held within days of his return after an official visit to Germany and the United Kingdom christened ‘TN Rising Europe.’
“Investments garnered here have surpassed the ₹ 15,516 crore raised from abroad. We are beating our own record in just three days of returning from Europe,” said an elated Stalin.
The Hosur conclave has given a fresh impetus to the region, signalling its next phase of growth and expansion. “Four years ago when we came to power, the goal of the USD 1 Trillion economy by 2030 was set and rapid industrialisation is the only way to achieve that so as to provide employment to the youth in women,” he observed.
On the MoUs getting fruition, he said, “Over 77% are being implemented and are prioritised,” he said adding, “a World Start-up summit will e hosted in Coimbatore for two days from October 9.”
On the importance and priority accorded by his government on industrialisation and assuring the investors for reposing faith, the Chief Minister said, “Stalin means ‘Man of Steel’ I will personally mentor this growth journey yo move forward together.”
